Terms & Conditions

DEFINITIONS

“Us” means Debbie Reilly representing Wild Wisdom & Wellbeing. “You” means the individual client, or where a parent, employer or other contracting party, then the parent, employer or other contracting party on behalf of the client.

APPOINTMENT

By completing and returning our booking forms you will appoint us to provide instruction in the chosen programme or service provision in return for payment of our fees.

All material is copyright so you may not at any time copy, photocopy or reproduce by any means any form, policy statement, or other material provided to you.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

Your physical and emotional safety is paramount. As such all our therapeutic nature and equine based programmes and services are trauma informed. We have full Professional Liability Insurance (Professional Indemnity and Public Liability), current enhanced DBS clearance, and a Level 3 Award in Emergency Outdoor First Aid. We conduct risk assessments at all sites, for all horses involved, and for all activities. Plus we do a pre-walk routine on the morning of the service provision, to check the route is safe.

Due to the potential risks of being out in nature, or around horses, you will be sent information on what to wear and bring, asked to sign an acknowledgement / consent form. On this you will be asked to inform us of any mental or physical health conditions, mobility issues, allergies, medications or medical history that we should be aware of, so that we can look after you properly.

Please note, our guides reserve the right to refuse participation in the session if you are not wearing appropriate footwear or clothing. This is for your own safety.

We run sessions in all conditions with the exception of high winds, lightning, or other extreme weather warnings (where it would not be possible to keep you comfortable or safe). There are additional benefits of doing a session in wet weather and often the tree canopy protects participants from inclement weather. If we do need to cancel a session we aim to give you as much advance notice as possible and will rebook the session on an alternative day.

We accept no liability where a participant fails to achieve all the health benefits advertised.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

It is your responsibility to use your own judgement about attending a booked session if feeling poorly, to declare any medical conditions and to bring food, water and any equipment or medications you may require for the duration of the activity.

You will be expected to bring suitable, adequate clothing for the weather conditions. This includes extra layers and waterproofs or sun lotion, hat and insect repellent. Please note, due to the slowing down nature of the provision you may get cold, even in summer! So please ensure you have plenty of layers. There will be a guided relaxation so also bring a waterproof rug, yoga mat, (a large bin bag will do) or a small foldable chair if being on the ground will not be suitable for you. To reduce the risk from ticks, scratches, or slips and uneven ground, we also recommend wearing long trousers and walking shoes or similar with good grip and ankle support, ideally waterproof.

If you have any medical conditions, are on prescribed medication, pregnant or have any concerns about attending the session, please obtain medical advice before attending the session and inform the guide prior to the beginning

of the session so they can make any necessary adjustments, if required.

Participants are expected to respect the forest by not leaving any trace of their visit and doing no harm to anything on any Wild Wisdom & Wellbeing provision.

BILLING AND PAYMENT

Payment must be made in one of the following ways:

  • If your employer or contracting party is paying then the full fee must be received no less than 7 days prior to commencement of service
  • If you are paying on your account then payment should be made in full prior to the service provision or by instalments at a rate to be agreed between us.

Payment can either be made by way of a bank transfer the details of which shall be printed on your invoice, or through bookings made via the website.

You are advised that all fees include a 10% non-refundable deposit (“the Deposit”).

Any invoice issued is due for payment on presentation. If not settled within fourteen days we reserve the right to charge you interest at the rate of at 4% above Lloyds TSB base rate.

We may at our discretion provide concessions. Providing a concession for one group of persons or for a particular service does not legally bind us to continue offering the same concession in future and/ or to provide the same or similar concessions to other clients and/or in respect of other services.

Usually, group sessions need 4 people booked on to go ahead. If there are fewer than 4, we might rearrange the session and will do this with agreement from all participants where possible.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

You may cancel your session up to 7 days before the date of the service provision, in which case you may reschedule or request a full refund less the Deposit.

If you cancel after this time and up to 24hrs before the event you may reschedule or receive a 50% refund.

If you cancel within 24hrs, you may reschedule, but no refund shall be available.

No refunds will be issued in case of non-attendance for any reason whatsoever.

Please allow us up to 14 days to process refunds.

If we need to change the location of a session due to forestry operations communicated by landowners/managers at short notice you will be able to attend at the replacement venue. Alternatively, you will be given the opportunity to reschedule within 6 (six) months from the date on which the original session was scheduled to take place. Unfortunately, since situations like these are outside of our control, no refund is available.

Sometimes we may have to cancel a session due to severe weather conditions forecast. In which case you will be given the opportunity to reschedule within 6 (six) months from the date on which the original session was scheduled to take place. Unfortunately, since situations like these are outside of our control, no refund is available.

We may cancel or interrupt the session at any time if an event outside our reasonable control prevents us from delivering the session. This could include the weather turning unexpectedly bad during a session, and injury or illness of your session guide. In which case the session might be shorter than initially planned and unfortunately no refunds are possible since situations like these are outside of our control.

If we have to cancel an event for any reason you will be offered an alternative date or, if a suitable date cannot be arranged, a full refund less your deposit. Except where the event is cancelled in the event of national emergency, war, prohibitive governmental regulation or any other event beyond our control.
